Loco motives

THE Note’s family got the suitcase out and started packing when we heard Rio Tinto’s train drivers were pulling $140,000pa. How good can you get it? Well it gets better, our sources at Rio tell us that that’s just the base rate and the real pay is between $160,000 and $210,000. Hmmm, now that’s worth striking over. Apparently, despite the threat of industrial action, Rio reckons they still need more drivers to shift their growing ore production. Depressed market or not, we are calling the real estate agent and putting the house up for sale. We’d be loco if we didn’t.
