Six Western Australian companies were winners in the 2016 Deloitte tech fast 50 awards, while NSW company Cashrewards took top spot overall.

The WA contingent was led by Tech Mpire, which was in fourth place with revenue growth of more than 2,700 per cent.

The company was founded by Zhenya Tsvetnenko and uses its technology in the advertising industry.

Two other WA winners were blockchain solutions provider DigitalX, also founded by Mr Tsvetnenko, and Osborne Park-based CVCheck.

CVCheck uses technology to check employment qualifications, police backgrounds, and credit issues, among a range of services.

Health Engine, which helps book medical appointments, and SEQTA, which is a learning management system, were also on the list.

Empired, which provides cloud services and customer relationship management among other things, rounded out the WA names.

Deloitte partner Joshua Tanchel said the top-ranked business, Cashrewards, was the fastest growing online shopping community in Australia.

“To qualify for the Deloitte Tech Fast 50 applicants must accumulate more than $8 million in revenue over a three-year period," he said.

"Cashrewards has swept away the nearest competition by securing a phenomenal 12,469 per cent growth over that three year period - a figure significantly above the average of 731 per cent, the highest result since 2004, and the second highest result since the awards started in 2001."
