FORMER jillaroo Danee Jenks ended up in the comparatively tame pursuit of industrial embroidery after breaking both arms in two Kimberley traffic incidents – she fell off her horse, twice. Speaking at a launch of a new book published by the Small Business Development Corporation featuring her and 11 other inspiring Western Australian business women, the Kununurra-based founder of Stitched-up Embroidery revealed business had become so busy she had returned to riding, seeking equine solace as an escape despite her past bingles. Her horse, she said, requires her twice daily devotion which gets her mind off the job of providing embroidered clothing for local businesses. ”A horse never wants to talk about shirts,’’ she added.
