Libs backflip on liquor

JUST two weeks after rejecting the state government’s liquor licensing legislation, opposition leader Paul Omodei has instructed his party to support the Carpenter government’s plan for total deregulation. Under the new reforms, all liquor stores, including Coles and Woolworth chains, will be allowed to open on Sundays. Restaurants will also be permitted to serve liquor without a meal, and new small bar licenses will be created.
