THE Leukaemia Foundation is targeting lifestyle in its latest donations campaign. The Lunch for Leukaemia campaign will take place during Leukaemia week from September 15-21, but unlike office-organised events, this promotion involves the participation of restaurateurs.
According to the Leukaemia Foundation’s Elise Anastas, the not-for-profit group wants to get a large number of Perth restaurants and cafes involved in the event.
“We are encouraging them to participate by having a particular choice on the lunch menu where some of the profits from the dish will come back to the Leukaemia Foundation,” Ms Anastas said.
“We want to get the community involved and this is a quite an easy way for them to participate and it gives restaurateurs a way to support the community.”
The foundation has made special posters and donation tins available for the event, which takes place during its major fundraising week.
