LEGEND Mining NL’s Munni Munni/ Elizabeth Hill silver project is near commissioning with the first trial shipment made during the June quarter.
Legend director Murray McDonald said a shipment of about four tonnes of concentrate containing 26,000 ounces of silver left Fremantle by sea in June.
“The refinery has advised that this trial shipment was so clean no penalty charges would apply,” he said.
A further 2,620oz of silver was sold from nuggets and jig concentrates and a second shipment of about 4.5t of silver concentrate was shipped at the end of July.
The quarter produced 624 tonnes of development material for recovery of 3,247 kilograms of silver concentrates.
The first twenty-one days of July produced 980t treated for the recovery of 3,513kg of silver concentrates.
Mr McDonald said the outlook for the September quarter should show a “significant improvement”.
