Lateral to sponsor INCITE Awards

Lateral has announced that it will partner with WAITTA‘s The INCITE Awards next year, with the Perth-based hardware and software developer coming on board as a naming rights sponsor.

Run since 1991, The INCITE Awards recognises and promotes WA’s ICT sector, with Lateral having picked up the most creative prize at its 2015 awards.

Headed by former 40under40 winner Tommy Shin, Lateral will contribute $35,000 to the awards as part of the partnership, with the awards being referred to as The Lateral INCITE Awards as of 2020.

Chair Sue Findlay said the partnership with Lateral was significant because it exemplified how the initiative has supported technology companies in WA.

“Through the awards, we have provided pathways for West Australian innovators to showcase their often ‘world-first’ technology to national and international markets, created investment opportunities for growth and delivered industry mentoring for continued success,” said Ms Findlay.

Mr Shin said the awards were a great platform for Lateral to showcase digital solutions to national and international markets.

“At Lateral, we support local tech projects and companies in achieving their goals, and by supporting the INCITE Awards, we continue to support Western Australian based organisations with forging strong ties with technology,” he said.

“We are proud to contribute to the strongly growing tech industry in WA, which are creating jobs locally, building health, infrastructure, resources and education solutions locally, and putting WA on the world map as leaders in innovation.”
