LANDCORP, on behalf of the Mid West Development Commission, is calling for tenders for the sale of a hotel-leisure development site in the Batavia Coast Marina development.
The marina, currently under construction on the Geraldton foreshore, will provide opportunities for tourism, marine chandlery, retail and accommodation options.
The 20,432 square metre hotel-leisure site with a 159 metre waterfront, could include complementary uses such as a convention centre, serviced apartments, restaurants, cafés and leisure facilities.
Chesterton International selling agent Robert Perman said there were a number of specialist hotel developers in WA and this was an opportunity for them to participate in the future of the Mid West region.
A $7.8 million museum currently under construction is expected to be another drawcard to the area.
Expressions of interest close on 26 November.
