LANDCORP has acquired a 40-hectare parcel of industrial land in Wangara for $8.7 million.
It’s understood the land, located next to Land-Corp’s Enterprise Park industrial estate, will be used to expand the estate.
LandCorp CEO Ross Holt said the land was acquired from Amatek Ltd, with settlement expected later this year.
“We have experienced very strong sales at Wangara, which is developing as a major business and employment centre for the City of Wanneroo, so this acquisition is good news for continuing that growth,” Mr Holt said.
“Enterprise Park Wangara has played a central role in ensuring an adequate supply of industrial land for the north-west corridor and in supporting job creation and economic development in Wanneroo.”
The additional land will increase Enterprise Park’s area by nearly a third and Mr Holt said the land, which was zoned for general industry under the city’s town planning scheme, could add more than 50 lots ranging in size from 1,600 square metres to 1.96 hectares.
