Perth company Liquified Natural Gas has appointed CB&I as project management consultant for its planned three million tonne per annum LNG project at Fisherman's Landing in Queensland.
As a global LNG specialist, CB&I will review the front end design and engineering, procurement and construction scheduling, supply engineering, technical and construction personnel during the construction phase and provide commissioning and start-up support for the first LNG train in the second half of 2012.
CB&I is the engineering, procurement and construction contractor for the 4.5 million tonnes per annum Peru LNG liquefaction plant currently under construction.

Appointment of CB&I as Project Management Consultant
The Company (ASX: LNG) is pleased to advise the appointment of CB&I as Project Management Consultant in relation to the Company's planned 3 million tonne per annum LNG project at Fisherman's Landing, in the Port of Gladstone Queensland (Gladstone LNG Project).
CB&I (www.cbi.com) will provide the services of their global LNG team to:
review the Front End Engineering Design and Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) schedule and cost estimate, to be submitted to Gladstone LNG by the SK Engineering and Construction and Laing O'Rourke EPC Consortium;
supply engineering, technical and construction personnel during the construction phase;
provide commissioning and start-up support for the first LNG train in the second half of 2012; and
generally support the existing Gladstone LNG management team that has been assembled to ensure that the Gladstone LNG Project is delivered on schedule and budget.
CB&I is a technical leader in the LNG industry and is the EPC Contractor for the 4.5 million tonnes per annum Peru LNG liquefaction plant currently under construction.
Peru LNG "ready for start up" is to be completed in Q1 2010 with the first LNG Cargo scheduled for Q2 2010. The Peru LNG project is reported to be on schedule and budget.
