PERTH IT company L7 Solutions has secured its biggest contract, being selected by Burswood International Resort Casino to undertake a complete upgrade of its core network and security infrastructure and to provide ongoing technical support.
L7 managing director Matt Sullivan, who was a WA Business News’ 40under40 winner earlier this year, said the decision had sent “a few shock waves” through the IT sector.
The contract is a big win for L7, which was founded only 14 months ago by Mr Sullivan.
His backers include Wantree Internet founder Andrew Milner, who has taken the role of L7 chairman.
Burswood general manager information technology Matt Richards said L7 was the “local leaders in the field of network and security technologies, they have a strong customer focus, they provide the results I need and always deliver to expectation”.
Meanwhile, Western Power has selected Telstra subsidiary KAZ Group for a $4.3 million, three-and-a-half year IT services contract.
KAZ will provide Western Power with a fully managed, standby disaster recovery service.
Western Power managing director Tony Iannello said KAZ won the contract based on its “workable, value-for-money solution” and its proven capability in the area.
