Kinetic IT wins $85m contract

Perth company Kinetic IT has won a major contract with state government agency Landgate valued at $84.9 million.

There were five bidders for the contract, which was formally awarded this week.

Details of the 10-year contract were disclosed on the tenders.wa.gov.au web site.

It comprises an initial four-year term followed by three two-year extension options.

Under the contract, Kinetic IT will deliver infrastructure and corporate network services, cyber security and threat protection services, end-user support, and service desk management, commencing 1 November.

Kinetic IT’s Group Executive for Government, Education, and Critical Infrastructure, Wayne Berriman, said the contract win was recognition of the company’s expertise and sovereign capabilities.

“As a company founded in Western Australia and having worked with Landgate previously, Kinetic IT is pleased to be partnering once more to deliver end-to-end managed IT services,” he said.

It’s the second big win for the firm this year, after signing a $23 million, three-year deal with the federal government’s Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and Arts in January,

Kinetic IT has 1500 employees across Australia, including 700 in WA.
