Kiernan moves to roll Peel board

The Michael Kiernan-led Stirling Resources has launched a bid to remove two directors from Peel Exploration's board.

Stirling, which holds 12.6 per cent of Peel has called for an extraordinary meeting of shareholders to remove chairman Simon Hadfield and non-executive director Craig McGown.

Mr Kiernan and Stirling chief financial officer Keith Vuleta have nominated themselves to replace the directors.

Mr Kiernan has previously served as chairman of Peel.

Shares in Peel were untraded at nine cents at 13:34 AEST.
