Kiernan appointed chairman of Croesus

CROESUS Mining NL has appointed Michael Kiernan (left) as non-executive chairman at its annual general meeting in Kalgoorlie on November 10. The outgoing Consolidated Minerals chief will succeed Croesus Mining founder and long-serving chairman Ron Manners, who has retired from the company’s board. The appointment of Mr Kiernan puts the company as his chief focus after he resigns from his executive role with Consolidated Minerals next year. Mr Kiernan has more than 30 years’ experience in transport, processing and mining contracting industries. He has experience in gold, iron ore, nickel, barytes and tin projects and all the major manganese projects of the East Pilbara. He has been Consolidated Minerals managing director since 1998 and has held executive positions with Australia’s major mining and transport contractors.
