Korean car maker Kia Motors will increase its offering at DVG Automotive Group dealerships in Midland and Morley after recent showroom upgrades worth more than $1 million.
The upgrades were made to align with Kia’s brand and managing director Lou Divirgilio said DVG was excited to have been selected by the Korean outfit.
“We’ve just completed an extensive upgrade to both showrooms, so we’re pleased to unveil two of the best looking Kia dealerships in the State,” he said
“We delivered on all of Kia’s key criteria – we’ve got financial backing; we’re a solid company; we’ve got a really good track record in the business and we have the available premises which is vitally important.”
Kia chief operating officer Damien Meredith said company research had identified Midland and Morely as growth areas for the company.
“Kia is experiencing significant growth and Midland and Morley were open points for our brand. Both dealer locations were strategic for Kia and the investment made by DVG to upgrade both showrooms is fantastic,” he said
Both dealerships have five-car showrooms, with Morley able to hold 36 vehicles in the outside area while Midland has space for 15 vehicles outside.
In 2015 Japanese company Gulliver International took a 67 per cent stake in DVG for $120.6 million.
The company has 24 new and used dealerships across 10 Perth locations with more than 600 staff.
