National hire equipment supplier Kennards Hire has acquired a Belmont-based company that offers similar services for an undisclosed sum.
Kennards said today the acquisition of Belmont Hire, a construction hire company, would undergo a makeover and become rebranded as Kennards Hire Belmont.
Kennards general manager Western Australia and Northern Territory Tony Symons said the move into Belmont was high on the company’s agenda for several years.
“The latest acquisition will strengthen their overall WA network, bringing the total number of Kennards Hire branches to 19 across the state,” he said.
“We identified Belmont as the ideal location for expansion due to the increasingly popular commercial precinct and strong business community that has developed over recent years.
“Our latest acquisition is an area that will support and complement our total service offering, including our specialist branches such as Lift & Shift and Concrete Care, helping to fill a gap that we identified in our branch network.
“The Belmont Hire site is the perfect place to expand our capability and service offering in the region.”
