Keith Spence

Keith Spence (pictured), former chief operating officer of Australia’s largest oil and gas company, Woodside Petroleum, has been appointed by the state government as chairman of the State Training Board, Western Aust-ralia’s primary advisory body on vocational education and training, as foreshadowed in WA Business News.Mr Spence, who has 25 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, also chairs the advisory boards of the Aust-ralian Centre for Energy Process Training and the Western Australian Energy Research Alliance and, until very recently, the Centre for Petroleum Engineering at Curtin University.The appointment of Mr Spence coincides with the appoi-ntment of former state development minister Clive Brown to head a new Skills Formation Taskforce, also reported in WA Business News.
