Karratha centre for sale

Woodside Petroleum is selling off the distinctive Tambrey Community Centre in Karratha.

The community centre is located on a 2.6 hectare freehold title site in the centre of Karratha and features a fully-equipped function centre, a tavern licence and a range of sporting facilities.

Jones Lang LaSalle sales negotiator James Collis said freehold titles were very hard to purchase in towns in the North West and this site offered the new owners a range of development options.

“The site would suit a residential-style development replacing or complementing the centre subject to the local authorities’ approval,” Mr Collis said.

It is expected the site will also attract interest from the hospitality industry as the centre has a fully licensed bar and bistro.

The Rankin Road residential development is located 500 metres from the centre and accommodates 500 people working on the LNG Train 4.
