Kalbarri centre funding

THE State Government has provided initial funding of $50,000 for Kalbarri to acquire a telecentre to serve the local community.

The Kalbarri Telecentre will provide community access to a range of government agency services, online facilities, business and office services and opportunities for training and further education.

The telecentre will not compete with private sector providers of Internet and e-mail services for tourists and visitors to the town.

Funding for the project was provided by the Department of Local Government and Regional Development and the Federal Networking the Nation program.
