Kagara, Mermaid Marine added to top 200

Perth companies Kagara and Mermaid Marine Australia have been added to Standard and Poor's ASX 200 index, as part of the ratings agency quarterly rebalance of its indices.

Both companies were also added to the S&P/ASX All Australian 200.

Resolute Mining and Nido Petroleum were removed from the All Australian index.

"Both Index inclusions and exclusions for the S&P/ASX 200 and S&P/ASX All Australian indices originate from a diverse range of sectors and industry groups with no one sector dominating the changes," S&P said in a statement.
