K2fly wins five-year Alcoa deal

Perth-based software solutions company K2fly has signed a five-year contract with aluminum producer Alcoa Corporation.

The ‘software as a service contract’ will see K2Fly’s resource and reserves inventory software, Rcubed, rolled out at six Alcoa sites globally. Alcoa operates mines in Western Australia and Brazil.

Rcubed supports reporting codes across several major stock exchanges and was acquired from South Africa-based Prodmark in May 2019.

Signed with Alcoa subsidiary Alcoa USA Corp., the total contract value is for $537,600 although the per annum contract value is not material. 

K2fly chief commercial officer Nic Pollock said that this deal was representative of the growing demand for K2fly's services.

“We are delighted to be working with Alcoa as another NYSE listed user of our governance and reporting software and also an important operator in Western Australia,” he said.

K2fly shares were up 7.7 per cent at 2:18pm AEDT to trade at 35 cents.
