Julia heads out to South Africa

SMART Silicon Systems Pty Ltd will launch its products on the South African market this year and has been invited to analyse and possibly design other solutions and products for a large telecommunications customer.

The Julia Mines Limited-associated IT company is currently responding to enquiries regarding the application of smart cards to primary producers.

These opportunities are currently subject to confidentiality and commercial sensitivity issues.

In addition, Smart Silicon has received interest in its SIM Manager product and distribution arrangements are being discussed in respect of a number of countries.

This includes plans to distribute 5,000 SIM Manager units on the South African market.

The company has mandated a leading Australian management recruitment firm to seek senior IT staff to assist Smart Silicon in business development.
