Jervoise is jumping

Jervoise Bay preparations involve dredging channels, reclaiming land and building breakwaters akin to those at neighbouring Henderson.

No longer will construction firms and support companies undergo the primitive, exposed

work-ing conditions of the 1980s when work

was done for the Goodwin and Rankin sites in the North-West.

In July, at government cost – no doubt after the inevitable official sod-turning ceremony – 54 hectares will be cleared and bulldozed for roads, allowing for the start of more than two years of construction by the private sector.
