Jameson to raise $2.4m for gold, uranium exploration

Perth-based mineral exploration company Jameson Resources has launched its initial public offer, aiming to raise $2.4 million to fund a work program and further exploration of its tenements.

The company will acquire an 80 per cent stake in four Ora Banda gold and nickel projects, covering around 27 sq km of land located 65km north-west of Kalgoorlie.

Jameson has also applied for two exploration licenses over the Errabiddy Project. Erabiddy is located in the Gascoyne Province of Western Australia and is prospective for palaeo-channel hosted uranium mineralisation.

Issuing 12 million shares at 20 cents each to raise the money, the company will not accept oversubscriptions, and there is neither a sponsoring broker nor underwriter to the offer.

Jameson is chaired by Jeff Bennett. He is joined on the board by John Holmes, David Prentice, Stephen Anastos and David Parker, who will serve as company secretary.

Steinepreis Paganin will serve as solicitors to the company while HLB Mann Judd will act as investigating accountant.

The offer, which opened on November 15, will close on November 30.
