EUROPEAN oil and gas company Eni is seeking expressions of interest for a one-year, all expenses paid scholarship to study energy, environmental management and economics in Italy.
The scholarship, for a Masters degree at Eni Corporate University in Milan, starts in June and has become available again after a previously successful candidate withdrew.
The first three months will comprise an intensive Italian language course, attended by many other scholarship winners, followed by the main course from September 2003 to June 2004.
Eni Australia’s West Perth-based business development manager Andris Blankenburgs said the company was on a tight schedule to fill the position, which was offered annually.
Eni, based in Rome, is one of the worlds major integrated oil and gas companies, operating large upstream projects, downstream gas and power generation infrastructure, refining and marketing activities as well as oilfield services and engineering.
Eni has a number of upstream projects in Australia and is best known here under upstream division called Agip, a name that is soon to be dropped by the company.
Applicants must be under 32 years of age with a first degree in subjects such as economics, business, law, engineering, maths, chemistry, geology, physics, environmental sciences, statistics, mathematics or political sciences.
Potential applicants living in Australia should contact andris.blankenburgs@agipaustralia.com.au for further information on the scholarship.
