The Chamber of Commerce and Industry are running a workshop entitled Introduction to Employment Law, on Monday February 10, at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Centre for Learning, from 8:30am to 4:30pm. The workshop has been designed to help attendees identify the current legal obligations of employers towards employees in the development, execution and termination of employment contracts. Topics that will be covered during the workshop include, what is a contract of employment; subcontractor versus employee; casual and fixed term contracts; changing a contract; termination of employment; and an overview of employer obligations.
