On Thursday August 7 and Friday August 8, WorkCover WA in conjunction with the Workers Compensation and Rehabilitation Commission is conducting the 2003 Partnerships in Injury Management Conference, at the Sheraton Hotel.
The conference has been designed for all parties involved in workers compensation and injury management issues in Western Australia and aims to facilitate the effectiveness of partnerships and teamwork between workers, employers, doctors, service providers, insurers, WorkCover WA and other relevant parties in the WA workers compensation system.
The focus of the conference will be to promote best practice in injury management, raise awareness in the workplace concerning workers compensation in WA, and facilitate the development of knowledge and skills in the areas of workers compensation and injury management.
Keynote speakers for the conference include University of Melbourne, honorary research fellow, Dr Peter Cotton; Workers Compensation and Rehabilitation Commission, chairman, Brian Bradley; WA Minister for Consumer and Employment Protection, the Honourable John Kobelke; WorkCover WA, executive director, Harry Neesham; and RiskCover, manager, Don Williams.
