THE Property Industry and government have been working together to ease some of the suspicions the public has toward the real estate, property and land valuation industries.
The industry has been working to set a standard with which the public is comfortable.
To this end the Australian Property Institute, in partnership with the Ministry of Fair Trading, has launched three publications – a new Code of Conduct for land valuers, Consumer Notes and an updated Professional Practice 2000 for the use of land and property valuers and the general public.
Professional Practice 2000 is “intended both for members and their clients and interested third parties. It will give them a better understanding of the property profession and what can be expected of members of the Australian Property Institute. At the same time it will give members
a clearer focus as to what level of professional performance they should be providing to their clients.”
