On Thursday December 2 the Committee for Economic Development of Australia will hold In the Game – a presentation from Azure Capital Pty Ltd co-founder and managing director Mark Barnaba.
The event will look at why some people launch businesses, becoming involved with the associated risks and ups and downs of the entrepreneurial experience, and why others are content to see their career through in a managed organisation.
The presentation will look at the characteristics of entrepreneurs and whether they differ from others, and explore whether or not an entrepreneur is the result of situational factors or the product of a career path.
Prior to founding Azure Capital Mr Barnaba was also a co-founder and managing director of GEM Consulting and Poynton and Partners.
Before joining Poynton and Partners Mr Barnaba had focused on a career in corporate finance, management consulting and investment banking, working with McKinsey and Company in the US, UK and RSA; currently he chairs the UWA Business School where he also serves as an adjunct professor in investment banking and finance, he is also deputy chairman of the West Coast Eagles Football Club.
Registrations for the event can be made with CEDA for $82 for members and $94 for non-members.
