New Western Australian Opposition leader Troy Buswell has created a special management team to develop long-term plans for the state as part of his first cabinet. The team includes new deputy leader and health spokesman Kim Hames, treasury spokesman Steve Thomas, and senior MPs Norman Moore and Peter Collier. Mr Buswell ousted Paul Omodei in a leadership spill earlier this month, but has given the former leader three key portfolios – state development, industry and enterprise, and resources. Graham Jacobs has taken over the environment portfolio, while Simon O’Brien keeps planning and infrastructure.
