PERTH-BASED property developer, Axiom Properties Ltd, has made several appointments to its executive team, following a strategic review of its operations.
Sheffield Capital Pty Ltd director and former Multiplex fund manager, Leon Boyatzis, has been recruited to join Axiom’s funds management division.
Mr Boyatzis, a chartered accountant and licensed property valuer, was most recently based at Multiplex Capital, managing assets worth $1 billion.
Axiom has also appointed Griffith University honorary professor John Howe as a non-executive director, in order to provide more independence at board level.
Mr Howe founded international consulting group Weathered Howe and has worked as a special adviser to Dubai Properties.
He will head up the now formally established Axiom Delivery Management unit.
Axiom is currently negotiating the transfer of a long-term ground lease for a major retail site at Melbourne Airport, held by major shareholder Pivot Group.
Axiom’s directors have agreed to the purchase, subject to valuation and shareholder approval.
The company is also in the process of negotiating long-term leases over two industrial sites in Adelaide, of 6.3 hectares and 22ha.
It is negotiating a third lease of a retail and office project in Adelaide CBD.
