In Brief: Aspen appoints property CEO

PERTH-BASED property developer Aspen Group has appointed Jonathan Timms to its executive team in the newly created position of chief executive officer – property. Mr Timms joins the company from AMP Capital Investors, where he spent nine years in senior roles, covering asset management, development and funds management. He will be responsible for the performance of Aspen’s commercial property portfolios, as well as identifying new opportunities for property investment funds. A statement from Aspen said Mr Timms’ appointment would add strategic capabilities across the group in the areas of property investment and management. Aspen managing director Angelo Del Borrello said the company would benefit from Mr Timms’ experience in asset management and optimising performance in commercial property portfolios.
