ING goes ahead in West Perth

ING Real Estate Development Australia and Lewis Land have decided to go ahead with development of their $81 million Wellington Central office in West Perth, without an anchor tenant. The 12,000 square metre, eight-level office building will be built by DORIC, and positioned between Harbour Town and the RAC headquarters on Wellington Street. ING Real Estate chief executive Greg Boyd said the Perth office market was one of the strongest in the country, and the company was extremely confident the building would be fully leased well in advance of completion in early 2009. Depending on development at the Wellington Central project, ING is understood to be considering developing another office building of around 8,000sq m on a 3.5-hectare lot to the rear of the RAC building.
