Hungry Jack’s will replace Bankwest on the West Coast Eagles’ jerseys next year, returning to the team it sponsored for 25 years until it was bumped by Bankwest in 2012.

The partnership will kick off from next year, with the Hungry Jack’s logo to replace Bankwest on the front of the team’s jersey and sit beside the logo of the football club's other major sponosr SGIO.

It comes amid speculation that Bankwest will bid for the naming rights to the new Perth Stadium.

“We are proud to become a major sponsor of the West Coast Eagles at a time when Western Australia is experiencing tremendous growth, the Eagles are moving to new training premises and the new Perth Stadium, a world-class venue, is on schedule to host the AFL games in the 2018 season,” Hungry Jack’s WA general manager Sam Morton said.

“We are looking forward to a successful and enjoyable partnership with the West Coast Eagles at the home of the Whopper in WA, where it all began.

“Hungry Jack’s is constantly innovating and looking at new and better ways to connect with and serve the community, and sees the partnership with the West Coast Eagles as an ideal platform to help achieve this.”

West Coast chief executive Trevor Nisbett said he was pleased to welcome back Hungry Jack’s to the club.

“Hungry Jack’s and the West Coast Eagles are synonymous with a time which is rich in the club’s history and memorable to all Western Australians,” he said.

“The entire club looks forward to a strong alliance and creating new memories with Hungry Jack’s.”
