Humann takes chair at Safe Effect

BALCATTA-BASED braking systems manufacturer, Safe Effect Technologies Ltd, has appointed a new chairman and non-executive director as the company looks to increase global sales. Business and resources executive David Humann has accepted an offer to join the Safe Effect board as chairman, replacing Roger Cowan, who will remain on the board as a non-executive director. In addition, Malcolm Richmond has been appointed to the board as a non-executive and John McClelland has retired from the board. Other board members are Chris Coudounaris and Professor Richmond as non-executive directors. Mr Humann is currently a non-executive director of Braemore Resources Plc and chairman of Mincor Resources NL and Matrix Metals Ltd. Professor Richmond is currently the visiting professor of business and professor of engineering at the University of Western Australia and adviser technology commercialisation at Curtin University. He is also a director of Magnesium International Ltd.
