Home truths on business told

A BOOK has been launched to address the issues facing home-based businesses such as balancing personal and business life, isolation, networks, finances and marketing.

Called Home Truths, the book was developed to complement guidance offered by the Small Business Development Corporation and the statewide Business Enterprise Centre network.

Nearly 62 per cent of all WA businesses are considered home based. Improvements in technology, a shift towards a service-based and knowledge-focused economy and trends towards outsourcing are likely to increase this percentage further.

The book is available from the Business Information and Licence Centre at 553 Hay Street or can be ordered from the SBDC’s website at www.sbdc.com.au
