AFTER helping thousands of WA families settle into new homes, two of Perth’s best known home builders have themselves recently made the move to a new business centre.
Eager for more space, home builders Perceptions and Impressions have moved from their premises in Walter Road in Osborne Park to bigger offices in nearby Hasler Road.
“In the past 12 months we have had a big period of growth, we simply outgrew Walter Road. We have gone up from 700sqm to 1150sqm,” said Jim Ilias, Perceptions and Impressions general manager.
“The new office is a result of both companies’ growth over the years and their expected growth in the future.”
And while there was need to move house, the Osborne Park area remained the best option.
“We did not want to move from Osborne Park because there is a real home buyers’ centre in that area,” Mr Ilias said.
“There are four or five builders there, furniture stores and Wembley Home Base nearby.
“We really want to continue to base ourselves here.”
The new two-storey office, housing Perceptions on the ground floor and Impressions on the upper level, provides more client consultation areas and display space, allowing for a greater range of stock to be on show.
“The building is more of a reflection of our style and houses our state-of-the-art selection rooms with the latest fixtures
and fittings available,” Mr Ilias said.
Perceptions previously catered for those looking to build houses worth upwards of $60,000 but later split its operations in order to better cater to the home builder market.
“Perceptions caters for those building two to three bedroom, single and double storey houses in between $100,000 and $250,000,” Mr Ilias said.
“Impressions grew out of Perceptions and caters for those building houses between $70,000 and $90,000, for many that is their first, maybe second home.”
