THREE heritage cottages in the East Perth Redevelopment Authority’s New Northbridge precinct will be auctioned on October 6. Earmarked for adaptive reuse, one cottage is located on a 298 square metre mixed-use site in Lake Street next to Plateia Hellas, while the others are situated in the Lindsay Street sector on a 427sq m site in Newcastle Street, and a 438sq m site on Lindsay Street. EPRA chief executive Tony Morgan said the authority’s office in the converted Union Bakery on Lindsay Street was a good example of how heritage-listed properties could be transformed into viable assets.
