Herdsman is still one of the most easily accessible and in-demand commercial/industrial areas in Perth in the opinion of real estate agents Colliers Jardine. This is despite the significant growth of some recent alternatives.
The group has recently sold over $4 million worth of properties in Herdsman and believes the area is still one of the strongest growth sectors of the current market.
Herdsman’s prime location, easy accessibility and modern infrastructure have made it a favourite among commercial and light industrial owner/occupiers and local investors for many years.
Colliers Jardine commercial sales director Jeff Braddock said recent sales in the area demonstrate the strength of investment opportunities still available and the confidence of local investors in the area’s future.
This included the recent sale of a modem, three-level office building at 27 Walters Drive which was purchased by a local property syndicate for $3.2 million.
The property, with 2000 square metres of lettable space, was purchased from Singaporean company Herdsman Investments Pte Ltd.
Broad Constructions also recently sold its Walters Drive headquarters to the Taxi Insurance Co-op Pty Ltd for $975,000 in a deal negotiated jointly by Colliers and Warren Tucker.
