PROPERTY developer Marchmont has placed its Bushmead Road industrial site in Hazelmere on the market. The site of more than 4 hectares was bought by the group late last year for the purpose of building a new warehouse and logistics facility. However, Mount Lawley-based Marchmont moved to sell the property following strong interest from companies in Perth and interstate. The site, which is for sale by expression of interest, is located opposite Goodman’s Stockyards industrial estate. The latter is undergoing a $150 million redevelopment, having secured US-based drilling services company Boart Longyear as anchor tenant on a 20-year lease. Broome gets an extra 200 houses THE state government has announced a series of new developments in Broome, which will deliver 200 housing units in the town over the next year. The first of these, to be managed by not-for-profit group Foundation Housing, will provide 24 units for low to middle income earners. The project is expected to be open to residents from June next year, through a rental ballot. Meanwhile, stage four of LandCorp’s Januburu Six Seasons estate has been launched, which will contain 82 lots. In total, the estate will yield 266 single residential lots, plus 20 group housing sites, to provide capacity for over 380 houses.
