HUGALL and Hoile Limited, Australia’s only listed irrigation merchandising company, has announced the appointment of Rohan Hardie (pictured) to the board of directors.
At 32 years of age, Mr Hardie is Hugall and Hoile’s youngest ever director. In 2002 Mr Hardie was recognised as a business leader of the future in the WA Business News 40under40 business awards program.
After completing his business degree with a major in accounting, Mr Hardie worked as a freelance consultant before working in the settlements industry, and then in a business that supplied equipment to the mining and industrial sectors.
He joined Hugall and Hoile in 1997 as a certified practising accountant and was later appointed as group accountant and general manager of the wholesale division in 2001.
Mr Hardie said the company was consolidating after a period of restructuring and streamlining.
“We are in a period of consolidation and are going through organic growth,” he said.
“We hope to maximise profits with the resources we have available. There is still a long way to go, there always is, it just takes perseverance. We are set to go forward.”
