Andrew and Nicola Forrest’s private company Tattarang has recruited an experienced European hospitality executive to lead its lifestyle business Z1Z and Eva Hanly as chief executive of Squadron Energy.

Ms Hanly has more than 20 years’ experience in the energy and infrastructure sectors, following senior roles at WorleyParsons, Origin Energy and Transurban.

She joins Squadron Energy from Transgrid, where she was responsible for transitioning the company into new businesses and services to support the switch to renewables.

Ms Hanly said the Forrests’ vision for Australia to become a green energy superpower was compelling and she was excited to play a role.

She replaces former Squadron Energy boss Stuart Johnston who departed in October 2021 to become chief executive of Hancock Energy.

Squadron Energy also appointed Tattarang chief investment officer John Hartman as chair in March, who took the role after Michael Masterman left earlier in 2022.

Meanwhile, Tattarang’s Z1Z has appointed its first chief executive.

Mr Heymeijer has worked in hotel management and tourism around the world, including stints at Emirates and Hilton International.

He recently worked in the Netherlands at hospitality and coaching consultancy Toast Solutions.

Prior to this, he was at Emirates for more than a decade in roles including general manager Emirates Wolgan Valley Resort and Spa.

Mr Heymeijer said he was looking forward to overseeing a diverse portfolio of hospitality offerings, which include Cape Lodge, Cooee, Ningaloo Lighthouse and Indigo Oscar at Indiana Teahouse.
