HBF inks TerryWhite partnership

HBF has notched up another major partnership, this time inking an agreement with national pharmaceutical retailer TerryWhite Chemmart to expand members' access to major health services.

That comes just months after the Perth-based health insurer took a significant stake in ASX-listed dentistry outfit Pacific Smiles Group and wholly acquired local allied health outfit Life Ready Health Group.

Today's news means eligible members will pay no out-of-pocket fees for an array of services, including flu shots and blood pressure checks, at TerryWhite Chemmart, which operates shopfronts in every state and territory except for the NT.

HBF already maintains a partnership with Pharmacy 777 as part of its 'members plus' network.

Daniel Heredia, the insurer's executive general manager of health, said TerryWhite's outlets were best placed to expand HBF's member plus program to the eastern states.

“Given the pandemic, more and more people have a renewed focus on their health so we're thrilled to engage with TerryWhite Chemmart to make being and staying healthy even easier," he said.

“TerryWhite Chemmart and HBF are strategically aligned and able to leverage our combined expertise to provide trusted, accessible services to help members stay happy and healthy.”

TerryWhite Chemmart executive general manager Nick Munroe similarly praised HBF's commitment to improving the wellbeing of its membership.

"Every single one of our pharmacies is focussed on delivering a high-quality patient experience, particularly in the areas of vaccinations and other health services, so we are certainly well positioned to cater to the health needs of HBF members,” he said.
