Griffin’s fresh vision for Wellington Dam

THE Griffin Group will play a key role in the Collie River Salinity Recovery Project.Griffin, in conjunction with the Department of Environment and Harvey Water, is responsible for the East Collie River Branch Diversion, under which saline River from early rains is diverted from Wellington Dam to the company’s closed Chicken Creek 4 mine. Only later river flows – which have typically lower levels of salt – will continue flowing down the East Collie River into the Wellington Dam, under the plan. Griffin chairman Rick Stowe said the Collie River Salinity Recovery Project was a unique partnership between the private and public sector to help improve the water resources available to WA.
