Grain brain

FARMERS and businessmen wanting to keep track of the continually deregulated grain market can do so through a new software program from WA’s ProFarmer Advisory Services.

Its Grain Price Calculator will help users accurately compare price quotes from different sources by converting them to a common pricing point.

ProFarmer was established in 1994 as an independent knowledge-based training and consulting company to provide commodity marketing information for agriculture.

“When comparing prices, growers have seen on average of $12-$15 per tonne added to their bottom line,” said ProFarmer’s Andrew Tasker
