PS Structures has secured work on the redevelopment of Carine Senior High School, while Devlyn Construction will build a new classroom block at TAFE’s Roebourne campus.

Balcatta-based PS Structures was awarded a $26.4 million contract from the Department of Education to build a four-storey structure at the Carine school, as well as extend the existing carpark and build associated services infrastructure.

PS Structures secured the work ahead of six other companies, according to Tenders WA.

The contract is part of a $32 million redevelopment of Carine Senior High School, with the overall project including new general classrooms, a sports hall and additional facilities in science, food technology and IT.

The redevelopment, designed by West Perth-based T&Z Architects, is expected to be completed before mid-2023 and house a further 600 students.

That’s on top of 300 additional students in 2019, with PS Structures also completing an expansion of the school's facilities.

Meanwhile, the Department of Finance has awarded a $6.5 million contract to Canning Vale-based Devlyn Construction associated with a new classroom block at North Regional TAFE’s Minurmarghali Mia (Roebourne) campus.

Construction is expected to be finished before November next year.
