A $151,000 Lotteries Commission grant will go to the Seniors Recreation Council of WA, to expand services State-wide.
The council, which is run by volunteers and relies on funding and sponsorship, has branches in Esperance, Peel and Kalgoorlie, and a presence in Albany.
Other branches are planned for Geraldton, Karratha and Port Hedland.
Regional Investment Fund
The Shire of Leonora has received $109,350 to complete an upgrade of Leonora’s main street, Tower Street.
The funds will be used to pay for road works, painting, paving and the construction of new verandas and fencing.
