Gore brings climate message to Perth

HIGH-PROFILE environmentalist and former US vice-president, Al Gore, will arrive in Perth next Friday, November 17, to speak on the issue of global warming at the UWA Perth International Arts Festival. Mr Gore will give an address at the Perth Town Hall, outlining his concerns about climate change and greenhouse gas emissions, as portrayed in the recent documentary An Inconvenient Truth. He will be a guest of the festival’s Words & Ideas program and FORM Contemporary Craft and Design (through its Creative Capital initiative). On Friday evening, Mr Gore will be a guest of honour at a dinner hosted by BP Australia, FORM and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WA).
