Golder Associates opens new lab
GLOBAL engineering and environmental services firm Golder Associates has opened a new laboratory in Osborne Park to extend its testing service capabilities. “Our new lab will position us as a specialist and innovative service provider for clients that need to perform technically challenging project design briefs,” laboratory manager Adrian Newton said. The company chose the Osborne Park location to be close to clients, as well as tap into the many industrial developments nearby. Companies expected to take advantage of the new facilities include those needing high-end geotechnical testing, predominantly in the mining and oil and gas sectors, including BHP Billiton and Xstrata. The facility will focus on specialist testing to support tailings management and heap leach facility development, as well as standard geotechnical tests. The extended space will also offer the opportunity to develop a relationship between the tests and consultancy services, with room available to facilitate joint ventures with clients
