Labour hire and construction services company The Go2 People has secured a contract to become the exclusive registered builder for a holiday home project on Dirk Hartog Island, off the coast of Western Australia near Shark Bay.

Belmont-based Go2 has signed an agreement with DHI Development to become the exclusive registered builder for the project, with between 25 and 33 houses set to be built.

Go2 will now work with DHI to finalise design covenants before entering into individual building contracts with the purchaser of each lot on the island.

The agreement is worth between $12.5 million and $16.5 million, depending on the number of houses built.

Construction is expected to begin mid-year.

Go2 managing director Bill Ferreira said the project was in line with the company’s strategic plans.

"We are thrilled to have been appointed as the exclusive builder for this development by DHI,” he said.

“Delivering this project for DHI will further strengthen our building division’s position in the sector."

DHI’s Geoff Wardle said the company was delighted to partner with Go2.

“GO2’s experience in remote and rapid construction, coupled with an eco-friendly approach, made it an easy decision to partner with them,” he said

“We have been involved throughout the design process, and I’m confident these villas will capture the very essence of this world heritage island.”

Go2 was also recently awarded a contract to supply and install 86 residential houses at the Meadowbrooke Lifestyle Estate in Boyanup.

Shares in Go2 finished ahead 4.3 per cent at 12 cents each.
